Grange went back in time to 1901 on Saturday as the community got into the spirit of the town’s 17th annual Edwardian Festival. Stalls, games and live music on the bandstand culminated in a parade.

Grange town mayor, Councillor Tom Harvey, said: “It’s a fantastic day. The people of Grange really enjoy it. Everyone really gets involved, with people getting dressed up, the stallholders put on a great show. We’ve got music on the bandstand, and around the town. It really is a great celebration.”

The majority of stalls at the festival were raising money for local groups and charities such as The Grange Disability Action Group and St Mary’s Hospice.

Cllr Harvey said: “There’s a lot of stalls here for charity. They’ve really gone to town and made a great effort, and I think there will be a lot of money raised here. It’s a really commendable effort from all involved.

“It’s a great day. The weather has come out, we’re in a fantastic garden, so all round it’s a great day for Grange residents and visitors alike.”
