Bay Search & Rescue helps in Cockermouth Floods
Flookburgh based Bay Search and Resuce have had a busy weekend after two local callouts; one on Thursday to help look for a missing person in the Floods at Ulverston, and one early on Friday to locate a person seen in the sand gullies on Morecambe Bay, the BSAR team were called to assist in the Cockermouth floods rescue effort.
NEW CARTMEL VILLAGE WEBSITE LAUNCHED
The Traders in Cartmel have produced a brand new website to promote the village as a tourist destination and as a facility to promote a wealth of events and activities happening throughout the year.
Messey Church Comes to Allithwaite
Watch out for the next Messy Church- Monday 30th November in the hall at the school. This involves children with a parent to make messy craft, share a family meal and a short time of informal, easy worship. All welcome
Jazz and Street Dance
Lucy Everet's Dance students recently provided a brilliant demonstration of Street Dance in Westmorland Shopping Centre in Kendal. Lucy teaches very popular Jazz and Street Dance classes in Grange-over-Sands at Grange Parish Hall and in Kendal St George's Hall, Gooseholme. Classes will be starting again shortly for ages from 4 years upwards.
Holker Halloween Fun!
SPOOKY WALKS -Spooky Walks through the Parkland at 10.30am and 1.30pm. £3 per child. Limited places which need to be pre-booked. Why not come in fancy dress?
Family Canoeing a Great success
The Cartmel Adult Education arranged Family Canoeing along the Lancaster Canal was a great scuess, with 5 families spending a sunny sunday learning how to paddle and play games along the Canal
